By show of hands, how many of you have gone through hell trying to make weight for a fight? That’s what I thought, ok hands down. For some people, cutting weight is and agonizing process, but for others never seems to be a problem. If you are a part of the former then I ask you this; why are you killing yourself trying to cut weight at the last minute instead of just maintaining a weight that allows you to be ready to take a fight at a moment’s notice? (Of course that would also mean that your conditioning is always where it should be but we’ll save that for another article.)
